File Menu

The File Menu groups commands related to file operations. The menu includes the program termination command.

Copy Picture

Copy the selected display area to clipboard. For details, see Saving Results as a Picture.

Save Picture

Save selected display area as an image file. For details, see Saving Results as a Picture.

Picture Area

Choose which part of the screen should be captured for the Copy Picture and Save Picture operations. For details, see Saving Results as a Picture – Before Saving.

Picture Type

Select the desired image file format for the Save Picture operation. For details, see Saving Results as a Picture.

Save Results

Save measured results in tabular form as a text file. For details, see the Saving Results to a Text File topic.

Separator

Select the decimal separator for Save Results by clicking either the Point or the Comma submenu item. The setting will be stored in the HomSoft Ini File so that it remains the same after HomSoft restart.

Save Setup

Save complete system setup (see User Setups).

Load Setup

Load complete system setup (see User Setups).

Backup Ini File

When this menu item is checked, and you choose to exit HomSoft without writing the standard *.ini file [see Exit (no setup) below], the current HomSoft settings will still be written in the background as a backup *.stp file. For more details, please refer to Backup Ini Files subsection of the HomSoft Ini Files topic.

Please note that for HomSoft to remember a changed setting of this menu item, you have to exit the application with writing the standard *.ini file.

Open User Folder

Opens Windows Explorer and navigates to User Folder where HomSoft Ini Files and other HomSoft configuration files are stored. This is also the default location for user-created files (setups, results files, log files).

Show Ini File Name

Displays the pertinent HomSoft Ini File and offers a possibility to open User Folder.

Exit

Terminate HomSoft execution (shortcut Alt+X).

Exit (no setup)

Terminate HomSoft execution without writing the HomSoft Ini File (shortcut Alt+A). This is useful if you choose to discard settings you may have made since the HomSoft start, or if you have not made any changes and wish to exit HomSoft quickly. The same effect can be achieved by clicking the button on the upper Standard toolbar.
